MATERIALE: In via non ci sono molti chiodi; solo alle soste e nei tratti più difficili. Portare per tanto, una serie completa di friends (fino al 3 camelot) e nuts, oltre a martello e qualche chiodo.

COMMENTO: Bella via in ambiente isolato, su roccia molto buona, a tratti ottima. Pur non essendo estrema, si mantiene sempre continua, con alcuni tratti di VI+ abbastanza impegnativi.In via i chiodi non abbondano, per cui occorre portare una serie completa di friends e nuts, oltre al martello ed alcuni chiodi vari, per eventuali necessità. Noi non li abbiamo usati lungo la salita, mentre ne abbiamo piantato uno per rinforzare la seconda calata in doppia (55 metri nel vuoto assoluto!).
AVVICINAMENTO: Dalla Capanna Trieste, salire lungo il sentiero per il rif.Vazzoler sino a poco prima del ponticello in ferro che attraversa il torrente. Sulla destra (scritta nera su masso, Rif. Carestiato) parte un ripido sentierino che risale, ora a dx, ora a sx, il letto asciutto di un torrente, sino ad incrociare l’Alta Via n°1. Continuare a salire il letto del torrente (qualche raro ometto) sino alla base del campanile. Aggirandolo leggermente verso dx, si ritorna poi a sx risalendo un evidente canale che porta all’attacco della via (cordone). Circa 1,20 h.
DISCESA: In corda doppia (4 calate) La prima (30 m.)parte poco sotto la vetta (versante ovest), dove si trova un mugo con cordone. Si arriva presso una terrazza, si scendono una quindicina di metri a piedi (attenzione, esposto)sino ad un terazzino dove con una calata di 55 metri, tutta nel vuoto, si raggiunge la terza calata. Con una doppia da 50 metri si raggiunge il sottostante canalone dove sulla dx (faccia a valle) si incontra l’ultima calata da 30 m. Oppure, con attenzione si può scendere a piedi. In breve si ripassa dall’attacco.
