DIFFICOLTA’: VII- (un breve tratto VII+)
SVILUPPO: 275 m.
TEMPO DI SALITA: 6 h.
MATERIALE: Portare una serie completa di friends Camelot, con raddoppi delle misure 0,3/0,4/, 0,5, alcuni nuts, oltre al martello e ad una scelta di chiodi, utili in un paio di punti. Noi ne abbiamo utilizzato uno solo, lungo il quarto tiro ( in parte piuttosto bagnato).

COMMENTO: Via molto bella, non particolarmente lunga, ma piuttosto concentrata, atletica ed intensa. Tutta la salita è ben proteggibile con friends di varie misure. Abbiamo trovato piuttosto bagnato ed infido un tratto del quarto tiro, dove abbiamo utilizzato un chiodo (tolto). Il tratto chiave, passaggio in uscita da uno strapiombo verso sx, per immettersi nel successivo grande diedro, e’ difficoltoso, ma si tratta di circa tre metri. Roccia quasi sempre molto buona. Ambiente selvaggio ed avvicinamento non banale, per lunghezza ed orientamento.
AVVICINAMENTO: Dal rif. Schlernbodele prendere una traccia che inizia proprio dietro lo stesso, salendo nel ripido bosco per poi piegare in diagonale verso dx. Si supera un primo canalone, proseguendo poi in piano sotto un contrafforte roccioso. Ad un secondo canalone, lo si risale per il ramo di sx, superando vari salti rocciosi non difficili. Si aggira a sx un grande blocco roccioso incastrato nella gola (III), proseguendo poi in un canale della parete dx e raggiungendo successivamente un’evidente terrazza erbosa (Villa Santner). Per un camino, scendere nella gola che delimita sulla sx la Punta Euringer e, dalla parte opposta, superare un risalto roccioso (II e III). Seguire alcune tracce verso dx e salire per una costola, quindi per un canale ghiaioso ad una sella con detriti (II, recente franamento). All’innesto della gola che fiancheggia l’imponente parete nord di Punta Euringer, un enorme blocco incastrato (Bocca di leone) viene superato sulla sx (III+). Continuare lungo la gola dal fondo detritico, salendo alcuni gradoni, sino ad una grande ed evidente nicchia, per la quale si raggiunge, verso sx, la cengia erbosa di attacco. Circa 2,15 h.
DISCESA: Dall’ultima sosta della via, calarsi lungo le soste della via con 4 calate a corda doppia (corde da 60 m.), approdando nel canale franoso sotto il punto di attacco. Proseguire in discesa lungo il canalone sino ad un ancoraggio posto sulla dx. Con una doppia da 25 si arriva nella Bocca del leone. Su detriti attraversare a dx ad una sella, scendere lungo il canale di dx (direzione Sciliar), per poi alzarsi ad una spalla con mughi (II). Da un mugo, calata da 25 m. sulla parte opposta, poi abbassarsi 10 metri nella gola. Calata di 20 m. in un profondo camino. Altra calata da 25 m. Calata d 25 m.e poi abbassarsi altri 10. Calata finale da 20 m. Sulla dx scendere per gradoni friabili prima ed un ripido canalino poi, sul fondo del largo canale sassoso sino ad incontrare il sentiero d’accesso che, in breve, conduce al rif. Schlernbodele. Circa 3 h.
